The Centers for Native Leadership Development (CNLD) is a part of the ministry of the Native American Fellowship of the Assemblies of God. Our intention is to provide local ministry training in Native country that is affordable and meets the credentialing requirements of the Assemblies of God. Although the materials are designed to meet credentialing needs in the Assemblies of God anyone who is interested in simply learning more about God’s Word of church leadership is welcome to enroll in the courses, including those from other church backgrounds. There is a fee for enrolling in the CNLD program, a fee for each course taken for credit, and each course requires the purchase of the book that is part of the course. We have kept these fees to as low as possible, but scholarships for those in need may also be available.
The Centers for Native Leadership Development brings training to your church, thus eliminating the need for travel to a college or district office. The training offer is designed to be sensitive to the needs and learning styles of Indigenous people. A representative of the Native American Fellowship will normally be the pilot instructor. However, one of the long term goals of the CNLD program is that those who receive training in the program become instructors themselves. We believe that local instructors with a good understanding of the biblical materials will be more effective in communicating the truth of God’s Word in a culturally relevant manner than someone from outside of the community. The intention of the CNLD program is that each local CNLD become self-supporting, self-propagating, and self-governing under the broader umbrella of the CNLD charter held by the Native American Fellowship. If you are interested in bringing training from this program to your church please contact us.
